"The Trial of Andres Bonifacio" trailer

To new readers, I recently co-styled a historical indie film which is an entry to a film festival here in the Philippines named Cinemalaya. This Saturday, we will have a private screening of the film at the Cultural Center of the Philippines (CCP). I'm anxious and excited to see what the end product is. Press people will be there as well. Wish the film luck!

Movie synopsis:

ANG PAGLILITIS NI ANDRES BONIFACIO is the untold story of the trial of Andres Bonifacio under the Revolutionary Government of Pres. Emilio Aguinaldo. Two leaders, Andres Bonifacio, Supremo of the Katipuneros, and Emilio Aguinaldo, president of the Revolutionary Government, made their way to fight for freedom for the Filipinos against the dominant rule, fought for a cause and for a reason to be one nation. Yet only one should rule. This was the start of Philippine politics. Ang Paglilitis ni Andres Bonifacio is a film documentation of Philippine history put to screen and megged by Mario O’Hara. And now, let the people be the judge whether Andres Bonifacio is guilty or not guilty of treason


Filmmaker's profile:

MARIO O’HARA was born on April 20, 1946 in Zamboanga City. He grew up behind the slums of Pasay City. He started working as a radio actor at the age of 17. He then went on to act in early TV productions for Channel 11 and Channel 2. He made his first feature film Mortal in 1975. He made several other films like Tatlong Taong Walang Diyos, Bulaklak ng City Jail, Sisa, Fatima Buen, and Babae sa Breakwater which was his most recent film produced. He just finished a project, as one of the actors in Checkov’s Three Sisters for Tanghalang Pilipino.

  4. oh wow...so andres was on trial by the phil gov't? sorry, didn't pay too much attention to history..that's harry's forte..hehe.

    great styling melai..and i also really love the 'stalker' photos in your prev post! it creeped me out a bit only cuz i'm such a scaredy-cat..haha! can't believe it was taken 2 years ago! by the way, welcome to chictopia...i don't update mine as often too because i can't find a reason to post my outfits twice...just wanted to find more interesting fashionistas there though...
