Baggage Encounter

10:30 AM

Since my last entry, I haven't logged in my blogger account and when I tried to do so (just a few minutes ago before writing this), dun dun dun dun... I forgot my password! Honestly, I think I sort of panicked right away because thoughts of possibly not being able to access this blog ever again got into my head (exaggerated paranoia right). Then, it took me a couple more attempts before I finally typed in the correct one. Whew! I let out a big sigh of relief and just laughed at myself (call me crazy, haha). If not for the 150+ comments left unapproved and me almost forgetting my password, I wouldn't realize (that much) how so much time passed me by. With how quick things change these days, a few months is indeed a long time.

As usual, life continues to happen. And with everything I've gone through (a lot actually, or should I say, a looooooooooooooot), considering all my personal experiences as a whole, it's been a little difficult (fine maybe I'm a little lazy too) to sort everything out and share it with you in full account.

So far, it's been clear to me what I want in my life. In full confidence, I can say that I have found myself and I'm on a roll in chasing after all my goals and dreams. In order for me to keep on moving towards the things that I aspire for and pursue my chosen endeavors, I had to let go of everything that held me back. And by that, I mean, everything that burdened me. Life is indeed one hell of a journey and I don't ever want to slow down or let any excess baggage stand in my way.

Sorting. Separating. Discarding. Keeping. Leaving. I had to undergo all these in the process of simplifying my life so I could create more space for my growth as a person.

As the old saying goes, "Experience is the best teacher." And true enough, through experience, I've learned who are worth letting go and what are worth holding on to. We invest so much in people, situations and feelings (so much of it actually) - a reason why excess baggage is an inevitable part of life. Most of us have a habit of holding on to certain things (a lot of times, the bad ones) for too long. It's not healthy for us (rather, it is destructive) and soon, it will be too much to carry. Life isn't meant to be lived in pain or in sorrow. If you keep this up, you'll find yourself down in a darker place.

Live, love and let go (of everything that makes you feel like shit)  essentials to a liberating, fruitful, and happy life. When the day comes that time has healed all your (emotional) wounds, you'll realize that dealing with excess baggage is a matter of forgiveness. For the things you wished you haven't done (regrets and what if's), for the mistakes that you've committed, learn to forgive yourself. And for all the people and tribulations that have caused all your hurt, just forgive. Because forgiveness is freedom. (30)

As you can see, I'm flaunting my newest luggage from Saxoline Philippines. They gave me a hand-carry size which is perfect for those short-term trips. Since I know I can't put everything in it, I need to be conscious of the things that are only important for me to bring when traveling. However, when it comes to my styling work, I use it for my accessories like belts, necklaces, bangles and bracelets, earrings and other trinkets.

They gave me nine design options and my choice came down to either the Paris-themed red luggage and the Berlin-themed black one. I wanted to keep everything looking clean and uniform when it comes to my things, and so, I went with the black one since my other luggage bags were already in the same color.

I'm beyond thankful for what I've already gotten but when I saw their latest designs, I can't seem to get enough of the UK-themed white luggage and the New-York-themed one. I want to get these as well while still considering the Paris-themed bag! (Now, I'll have to save more so I can splurge on these babies, haha)

    1. Toni! I missed you! :) It's nice to know that you get what I'm saying and probably in one way or another, you can relate. I guess we all can since it's a general experience for a lot of us.

Actually, narrowing down your friends on FB is related! My friend broke up with his girlfriend and that's what he did! He deleted everyone related to her, so he can have a fresh start. Haha.

Thaaanks for dropping by! I appreciate it!
