From tea party to disco night

Black cover-up Ana's closet | Printed sheer tunic and Boots F-STOP | Necklace c/o Penshoppe

When you're a fashionista commuter like me, you don't have the luxury of time (and space) to slip into a different outfit every time you hop from one event to another. Since I don't have a car, errr... technically my family has pala but I don't get to use it because either my parents or older siblings drive it. Anyway, it's too much of a hassle to change to a completely new set of clothes.

I wore this printed tunic from F-STOP's upcoming February collection (watch out for that!) for a daytime tea party at the Pinkbox event while the sparkly cover-up was added on purpose to achieve a glamorous yet edgy touch to my ensemble when I went to Solar's thanksgiving party in Resorts World at night. To complete my tough look, I went for a more toned down way of accessorizing just by wearing one statement piece which is a black layered cross necklace.

Being practical doesn't mean you have to let go of style. There are times when I feel restrained because commuting keeps me from being my over-the-top self, but it's always about compromise.

  6. Melai, I'm officemates with Maxine Casaclang and she asked me if I knew you. She's also from UP :) Anyway, she saw me one time with this little purse and I was placing my accessories inside kasi pauwi na kami and she said, "Ganyan din si Melai kasi nagco-commute siya". Haha small world :) Nakakaloka talaga magdress up na commute-safe, pero I guess that's part of the challenge! Hope to see you soon (and finally meet you too) :)
