When expectations are sky high
12:17 PM
Yellow Blazer Thrifted | Shirt Greater Good | Belt F-STOP (Fashion Stop)
Skirt Bazaar | Boots Timberland | Patterned stockings F-STOP (Fashion Stop)
ANNOUNCEMENT FIRST:
Later tonight, at 8:30 PM I'll be releasing my shop's (F-STOP | Fashion Stop) new year comeback collection. I hope this one's off to a good start so I wish my Philippine readers and shoppers will give me all the support on this one *smile*.
Aside from the shop, I do freelance work for anything and everything that I can do - whether it's styling, photography, writing, hosting events or any media production-related job. I'm on a project-per-project basis and to start my 2011, I have a new part-time work again.
A few days before Christmas, I applied for a job. The opening was tipped off by someone who messaged me via facebook. I tried my luck and a week after the interview, I was hired! Oh well, it is an exciting one but when I found out how much they're paying me to do it, my heart partly sank (not completely though). It's because I assumed that since the job sounded huge, the salary would be the same. Haha. Note to self: Tried and tested, don't expect too much.
Despite that, I'm still very thankful. A job is still a job and God's blessing. Besides, it'll only take up my weekends so it won't eat too much of my time. I'm starting tomorrow so wish me the best!

Hey hey Melai!
ReplyDeleteGood luck with your work! :) Money isn't everything and if you enjoy it, money will come after ;) Love your outfit, you look incredible!
ive seen you work and how you do things. tama na i-set mo muna ang isip mo sa work at wag muna isipin ang compensation (though I know important yun) dahil when the bosses see how you work, sila ang mahihiya sa binibigay nila :)
ReplyDeletei know you can do it as you have through the years... andito lang kami ng kuya mo supporting you all the way ;)
LOVE THE BOOTS!
ReplyDelete^^, yes, that's a good motto. Although, the experience alone is sometimes worth the effort, ^^ and the pay will be just an added bonus, ^^ (though not all the time sana hehe)

ReplyDeleteHi Ms. Melai! Thank you for visiting my blog, you're so nice. I hope I will meet you in person! :)
ReplyDeleteYou arise beauteous in the horizon of the heavens
ReplyDeleteOh living Aten who creates life.
When you shine forth in the Eastern horizon you fill every land with your beauty.
You are so beautiful: you are great; gleaming and high over every land.
Your rays embrace the lands and all you have created;
You are Re and reach out to all your creations, and hold them for your beloved Son.
You are afar, but your rays touch the earth;
Men see you, but know not your ways.
Thanks...beautiful baby!
